The first time we ran a borescope camera through a return duct and saw what decades of settled life looked like, something clicked. It wasn’t disgust. It was clarity. We started doing the cleaning ourselves, nights and weekends, with a portable unit we’d rebuilt from salvage. We learned to read a duct system by the resistance in the hose, to feel when a blockage was lint versus a collapsed flex line.
